Aerosmith Tour News :
Aerosmith Concert TicketsAerosmith has just recently tied up their latest tour and we hope they are gearing up for another tour leg or hard at work on their next new album. For the latest on Aerosmith Tour News, please check back often. Hopefully there will be a 2010 Aerosmith Tour announced.

Aerosmith To Tour With ZZ Top, New Album Delayed: Health issues and touring commitments have combined to postpone Aerosmith's next album, according to guitarist Joe Perry.

Perry tells Billboard.com that the record sessions -- for the group's first album since 2004's "Honkin' on Bobo" and first of all-original material since 2001's "Just Push Play," were delayed when he had to have surgery earlier this year to clear out an infection in his knee replacement.
Then, last month, singer Steven Tyler came down with pneumonia, after which the veteran Boston rockers "realized there wasn't any chance of getting it finished before we hit the road for the summer. So basically we had to push (the album) back, and when the band gets off the road, that's when we'll pick up the Aerosmith record."

Aerosmith's tour, the group's first since 2007, starts in June with ZZ Top. Perry says about 40 dates are set so far for North America, with South America, Europe and Japan also under consideration. The itinerary should be announced soon.

Perry -- who was in Cleveland to attend Saturday's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony and perform the Yard Birds' "Train Kept A Rollin'" with Metallica, Ron Wood and inductee Jeff Beck -- says Aerosmith has "probably two or three (songs) that could be mixed right now, maybe even more. But there's a long way between two or three and doing the 12 or 14 that you have to have to do a whole project." He says what's been done so far at his home studio with producer Brendan O'Brien "sounds like 'Rocks'" and hews closer to the rougher sound of "Honkin' on Bobo" than the more polished production of "Just Push Play." "It's everybody in the room with a producer cracking the whip," Perry notes, "laying the tracks down and getting a good take without having to (edit) too much."

Aerosmith Tour DatesThe silver lining in the Aerosmith delay, Perry adds, is that he's been able to go "full blast" on his next solo album, the follow-up to 2005's Grammy-nominated "Joe Perry." He has 10-12 songs ready -- three of which, including a cover, he played for Billboard.com -- which he'll record with "an A-list producer I can't name, but will very soon." David Hull from the Joe Perry Project is playing on some tracks, along with Ben Tileston, who plays drums with two of Perry's sons in TAB the Band. He's also considering using other players and possibly guest vocalists.

"I have a big chunk of time before the tour, so I'm gonna try to get the solo record done as soon as I can," Perry says. "Chances are you're gonna be hearing that before you hear an Aerosmith record...'cause I expect the Aerosmith tour, God willing. to continue through the fall."

Aerosmith at Fiddlers Green Review - What A Show!!!!  :
Both Aerosmith and ZZ Top put on a FANTASTIC show!!!! The groups played some of my favorites, but missed too due to the long jam sessions. I think that is to give Steven Tyler some time for resting his vocals from his recent surgery. They still sound great though! ZZ Top should play "Party On The Patio" at outside venues.
The weather cooperated too to make this great concert even better. It was a must see show on a what felt like a light, breezy summer night under the stars. I agree that the lawn seating was packed, but I had seats. It's the only way to go. You never know what it is going to be like for lawn seating..  ... Source ...

Aerosmith Biography and News :
Aerosmith Tour NewsAerosmith is an American hard rock band, sometimes referred to as "The Bad Boys from Boston" and "America's Greatest Rock and Roll Band". Their style, rooted in blues-based hard rock, has come to also incorporate elements of pop, heavy metal, glam, and rhythm and blues, which has inspired many subsequent rock artists. The band was formed in Boston, Massachusetts in 1970. Guitarist Joe Perry and bassist Tom Hamilton, originally in a band together called the Jam Band, met up with singer Steven Tyler, drummer Joey Kramer, and guitarist Ray Tabano, and formed Aerosmith. By 1971, Tabano was replaced by Brad Whitford, and the band began developing a following in Boston.

Aerosmith was signed to Columbia Records in 1972 and released a string of multi-platinum albums, beginning with their 1973 eponymous debut album. In 1975, the band broke into the mainstream with the album Toys in the Attic, and their 1976 follow-up Rocks cemented their status as hard rock superstars. By the end of the 1970s, they were among the most popular hard rock bands in the world and developed a loyal following of fans, often referred to as the "Blue Army". However, drug addiction and internal conflict took their toll on the band, which resulted in the departures of Perry and Whitford, in 1979 and 1981 respectively. They were replaced by Jimmy Crespo and Rick Dufay. The band did not fare well between 1980 and 1984, releasing a lone album, Rock in a Hard Place, which went gold but failed to match their previous successes.

Aerosmith Tour TicketsAlthough Perry and Whitford returned in 1984 and the band signed a new deal with Geffen Records, it wasn't until Aerosmith sobered up and released 1987's Permanent Vacation that they regained the level of popularity they had experienced in the 1970s. Throughout the late 1980s and 1990s, the band scored several hits and won numerous awards for music from the multi-platinum albums Pump (1989), Get a Grip (1993), and Nine Lives (1997). Their comeback has been described as one of the most remarkable and spectacular in rock 'n' roll history. After 38 years of performing, the band continues to tour and record music.

Aerosmith is the bestselling American hard rock band of all time, having sold 220 million albums worldwide, including 66.5 million albums in the United States alone. They also hold the record for the most gold and multi-platinum albums by an American group. The band has scored 21 Top 40 hits on the Billboard Hot 100, nine #1 Mainstream Rock hits, four Grammy Awards, and ten MTV Video Music Awards. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001, and in 2005 they were ranked #57 in Rolling Stone magazine's 100 Greatest Artists of All Time.

More About Aerosmith
Aerosmith is one of the most successful groups in the history of Rock music. With over 150 million records sold, 12 multi-platinum albums and a place in the Rock and Roll hall of fame. After years toiling on the Boston scene, Aerosmith got their big break at Max's Kansas City. Aerosmith knew Max's was the place to be, and that performance was their big shot.

Since Aerosmith was signed by Clive Davis after their Max's gig they haven't stopped rocking, redefining themselves over and over, by combining blues, glam, heavy metal, R&B and even hip-hop, which defined one of their most well known collaborations with Run DMC. Today, more popular than ever, Aerosmith recently took center stage as the virtual rock stars in the most recent version of Guitar Hero - Guitar Hero Aerosmith.  ... Source ...
